Police found 1291 hashish crops, weighing nearly a tonne, rising in a "subtle hydroponic set-up" after they swooped on the manufacturing unit in Wannan Avenue, Highett yesterday morning.
They arrested a 57-year-old man and a 35-year-old man on the scene and have since charged them with cultivating a big business amount of hashish.
Police have stated the pair allegedly used the manufacturing unit for six months, throughout which they arrange their very own electrical system and created small rooms inside.
