Rep. Scott Perry, a Trump ally, says FBI seized his phone

The FBI has confiscated the telephone of Republican Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, an ally of former President Donald Trump, Perry mentioned in an announcement to CBS Information. 

"This morning, whereas touring with my household, three FBI brokers visited me and seized my mobile phone," Perry mentioned. 

Perry alleged they "made no try and contact my lawyer, who would have made preparations for them to have my telephone if that was their want." 

It isn't clear why the FBI confiscated his telephone.
