A girl in her 50s has died after struggling a medical episode whereas snorkelling on the Nice Barrier Reef.
Police confirmed the lady had been on a snorkeling and boat tour within the Whitsundays when the episode occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency Providers had been referred to as and the lady was transported to an Airlie Seaside Marina.
A Queensland Police spokesperson mentioned police had been notified of the incident round 12.45pm and attended the scene.
A report might be ready for the coroner concerning the lady's dying.
