Police say 64-year-old Broadmeadows grandfather Danny Heaney is needed for questioning in relation to the stabbing loss of life of a person in Albanvale.
On Monday afternoon, police stated detectives noticed the person driving on Newlands Street in Coburg North at 4.40pm.
The person then took off and detectives pursued him.
Heaney pulled into the Coburg Lake Reserve automotive park and ran.
