Men found hiding in roof after high-speed police chase through Melbourne

A high-speed police chase via Melbourne's south-east has ended with the arrest of two males after they have been discovered hiding in a roof house.

The chase, which concerned a police helicopter and a number of police automobiles, started when a stolen gray Hyundai station wagon was noticed driving erratically in Cheltenham about 9.45am.

Police stated the automotive was pushed at greater than 150km/h on the flawed aspect of the highway as they tracked it to Cranbourne Park Purchasing Centre carpark, the place the automotive was deserted.

Police stated the 2 males who have been within the automotive fled from the buying centre in a silver Mazda, which officers tracked to the nook of Monahans Street and Sarno Courtroom in Cranbourne.

Police then searched a close-by constructing and located the 2 males hiding within the roof house of a home.

A machete was discovered within the Hyundai, which police imagine was stolen from Cheltenham about 10.50pm on Saturday.
