Greater than 43,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees in Australia have been recalled amid fears they might lose energy and trigger accidents.
The problem is attributable to a high-pressure gasoline pump - however the components to restore the pump are at present not accessible, Jeep bosses say.
The 43,396 vehicles affected date between 2011 to 2022 and are the three.0L LX 300 and three.0L WK Grand Cherokee fashions.
"As a consequence of a producing defect, the high-pressure gasoline pump might fail prematurely and introduce failed part particles into the gasoline system," an announcement stated.
"This might impair the gasoline provide to the engine and end in a lack of energy while driving.
