Qantas flight turns back to Cairns after 'controlled shutdown'

A Qantas flight has turned again to Cairns after what the airline described as a "managed shutdown" of one of many plane's engines.
QF703 took off from Cairns Worldwide Airport at 2.19pm and was as a result of land in Melbourne at 4.20pm.
As an alternative, the flight landed safely again in Cairns at 3.34pm.

A Qantas spokesperson stated the flight taxied to the gate safely and no emergency providers have been wanted.
The spokesperson stated engineers are actually investigating the incident.
