Cannes: John Cusack, Briana Hildebrand, Jake Abel to Star in Yale Entertainment’s Spy Thriller ‘Fog of War’ (Exclusive)

Nice Escape will likely be promoting the characteristic — set within the closing months of WWII and being directed by Michael Day — in Cannes.

Jake Abel (Malignant, Walker), Briana Hildebrand (Deadpool, Lucifer) and John Cusack (Excessive Constancy, Love & Mercy) are set to steer spy thriller Fog of Battle, the most recent mission from Yale Leisure.


Michael Day (Clawfoot) is directing from a screenplay by Luke Langsdale. Producers are Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, Michael Day, in addition to Scott Levenson. Yale Leisure’s gross sales arm, Nice Escape, will likely be introducing the mission to consumers in Cannes.


Set within the closing months of WWII, Fog of Battle tells the story of injured American pilot Gene (Abel) and his OSS agent fiancée Penny (Hildebrand) as they retreat to a distant property in Massachusetts to stick with Penny’s distant uncle Robert (Cusack). Unbeknownst to her, the OSS has recruited Gene to spy on the household and the encircling group as top-secret paperwork associated to the D-Day invasion have been stolen and an enemy mole is someplace close by, getting ready to show these plans over to the Axis Powers.
