ABC host Stan Grant to step down from Q+A, citing 'relentless' racial abuse

"On social media my household and I are often racially mocked or abused.
"This isn't new. Barely every week goes by when I'm not racially focused.
"My spouse is focused with abuse for being married to a Wiradjuri man.
"I do not even learn it, but I am unable to escape it.
"Folks cease me on the street to inform me how vile it's.
"They inform me how sorry they're.
"Though I attempt to protect myself from it, the very fact it's on the market poisons the air I breathe."

He stated since showing on the ABC's coronation protection, throughout which he criticised the crown, the abuse had worsened.
"I used to be invited to contribute to the ABC's protection as a part of a dialogue concerning the legacy of the monarchy. I identified that the crown represents the invasion and theft of our land," Grant wrote.
"Within the title of the crown my folks had been segregated on missions and reserves.
"Police carrying the seal of the crown took youngsters from their households.
"Underneath the crown our folks had been massacred."
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was requested about Grant's resignation whereas in Japan for the G7 summit and described the journalist as "somebody who has my respect".
