The actor shared how the pair had shared a “beautiful time” collectively filming a star model of Stars in Their Eyes, which they went on to win, and has been left devastated by his loss.
Typing in view of his 200,000 followers, Mark wrote alongside a snap of the Emmerdale actors acting on stage: “What a time that was, beautiful Dale. You carried me by it.
“I used to be terrified, you had been good. What a voice. What a bloke. What a loss. Xx.”
Alongside the publish, Mark shared a photograph of the pair dressed because the Blues Brothers whereas competing in Stars in Their Eyes.
Dale, who performed Simon Meredith on ITV cleaning soap Emmerdale between 2003 and 2006, died from "coronary heart failure" on Saturday night, his brother Philip Meeks stated.
The star was as a consequence of flip 49 on the day of the King's Coronation and died at South Tyneside Hospital in South Shields, his brother added.
Philip stated "My coronary heart is damaged" as tributes poured in on social media for the actor who has been described as "the loveliest of men".

The presenting duo, who performed PJ and Duncan in Byker Grove, tweeted: "We're so extremely sorry to listen to the very unhappy information of Dale's passing.
"He was the loveliest of men, regardless that he was a Denton 'Burner', the arch nemesis of the Byker 'Grovers'!
"A tragic loss at such a younger age. RIP Dale. Sleep effectively, bonny lad."
Responding to the tweet, Philip instructed PA: "That is completely beautiful.
"I form of keep in mind assembly them as youngsters myself. He (Dale) was in Byker Grove, he made considered one of them blind, not in actual life."
