A younger lady has been pulled unconscious from a swimming pool in Sydney's west in what paramedics have described as a "close to drowning".
Lifeguards at Merrylands Swim Centre pulled the lady, believed to be aged 4, from the water and carried out CPR as paramedics rushed to the scene.
9News understands the lady is now acutely aware and respiration.
NSW Paramedics stated extra info can be launched shortly.
Cumberland Metropolis Council runs the pool. The council have been contacted for remark.
