(CNN) - “Sesame Road” co-creator Lloyd Morrisett has died on the age of 93.
Morrisett was a psychologist and vice chairman of the Carnegie Basis for the Development of Instructing.
In 1968, Morrisett together with tv producer Joan Ganz Cooney created the Kids’s Tv Workshop, now referred to as the Sesame Workshop.
The nonprofit group is behind the “Sesame Road” tv present.
They added Jim Henson and his muppets to convey the present to life in 1969.
Morrisett served as chairman of the Sesame Workshop Board of Trustees for over 30 years.
The group says he “leaves an outsized and indelible legacy amongst generations of youngsters.”
