Queensland Police have made an emergency declaration after experiences of photographs fired in Tara, close to the place two officers have been killed simply months in the past.
It's believed the photographs might have been fired at two officers who have been in a patrol automobile.
Police made the declaration beneath the Public Security Preservation Act about 5.30pm (6.30pm AEDT), two hours after being referred to as to experiences of photographs.
The exclusion zone contains Surat Improvement Highway, Day Road, Benn Road, Fry Road and Milne Road.
"A number of residents have been evacuated," police stated.
"Others inside the exclusion zone are requested to stay indoors.
"No additional info is offered at this stage."
Tara is beside Wieambilla, the place two officers have been killed in an ambush at a property final 12 months.
