Polar bear kills woman, boy in Alaska

WALES, Alaska (KTUU) - Alaska State Troopers say a polar bear attacked and killed two folks in a distant village.

Troopers wrote in a dispatch they obtained the report at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The incident occurred in Wales, a distant village on the western tip of the Seward Peninsula, KTUU stories.

Troopers say the polar bear entered the group and chased a number of residents. It fatally attacked a girl and boy.

The bear was shot and killed by a resident because it attacked the 2, in line with troopers.

Troopers and the Division of Fish and Sport are planning to journey to Wales, as soon as climate permits.
