One man is useless and two others have been rushed to hospital after a dramatic rescue at The Spit on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
Two courageous beachgoers raced into the water to retrieve the three males after they had been noticed in hassle in tough surf.
Life guards sprinted down the sand to assist after as trio, all of their 20s, had been pulled from the water.
Paramedics started performing CPR on two of the rescued males who had been unconscious.
The 2 males who survived had been taken to Gold Coast College Hospital in steady circumstances.
