Officer helps prevent man from jumping off bridge with hug, police say

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB/Grey Information) - Authorities in Connecticut are sharing an officer’s actions that they are saying helped save a person’s life.

On Thursday, the New Haven Police Division launched data concerning a state of affairs on Jan. 13 the place officers responded to a person who was threatening to leap off the Ferry Road Bridge.

The division mentioned Officer Wityak was one of many officers who had been known as to the scene.
