— Rep. Andy Barr has gained re-election to a different two-year time period within the U.S. Home, based on a projection by LEX 18.
The Republican confronted Democrat challenger Geoff Younger within the sixth congressional district race, which incorporates Lexington.
The race was particularly distinctive as a result of the Kentucky Democratic Get together didn't help Younger, and neither did Gov. Andy Beshear. Some Democrats have inspired folks to vote for write-in candidate Randy Cravens as a substitute.
Congressman Barr mentioned Monday night time that they had indications that they might win in a landslide victory. The congressman says he's anticipating a serious Republican sweep in Congress.
Barr has represented the district since 2013.
