A man in his forties has died in a light-weight aircraft crash on the Nullarbor Plain in Western Australia.
The aircraft crashed within the Caiguna space, about 350 kilometres west of the Western Australia-South Australia border, about 9.30am on Friday.
Western Australia police stated the person, who was the pilot, was the one individual on board.
Preliminary experiences instructed the plane was a Cessna, nonetheless the Australian Transport Security Bureau (ATBU) says the aircraft concerned was an "newbie constructed" Jabiru leisure plane.
