Jim Gaffigan: This is NOT "the most wonderful time of the year"

For many people, it is essentially the most great time of the 12 months. However for our Jim Gaffigan, not a lot:

"It is essentially the most great time of the 12 months…"
Actually? Is it the most great?
Have you ever been exterior? Seen the crowds? The site visitors?
Ever undergo safety on the airport in December?
I am going to let you know one phrase that does not come to thoughts: Great.

Possibly for you it's the most great time of the 12 months.
It is higher than Summer time? Fall? Spring?
You like crowds, chilly and congestion?
To you, that is great?

It is December, it is chilly and crowded, and comic Jim Gaffigan chafes on the obligation to greet others with "Comfortable Holidays!" He'd slightly be trustworthy.

Who even makes use of that kind of language? "Great"?
"Oh, this time of the 12 months is great?"
I do know that track is from the early '60s,
however you recognize even again then individuals had been like, "Who says great?"

There's stress to be joyful in December, to be filled with marvel.
"Comfortable Holidays!"  "Merry Christmas!"
At occasions I need to say, "Quiet down!"

I am not saying I haven't got nice Vacation recollections. I like Christmas!
However not sufficient to fill a month.
Or to make me behave like I am in a type of Hallmark films.

I assume what annoys me essentially the most is when somebody says, "Comfortable Holidays!"
You must give a "Comfortable Holidays" again. It is an obligation. "Comfortable Holidays!"
I need to say, "My dad and mom are useless."
However I simply give an extended pause and reply with, ".. joyful holidays…"

The one factor worse than that obligatory "Comfortable Holidays" is the obligatory "Comfortable New Yr!"

Ugh. That is developing…
