3 dead after bus, tractor-trailer collide in Virginia

Virginia State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left three folks lifeless early Friday morning in York County, Virginia.

Two business automobiles — a tractor-trailer and a passenger bus — collided round 1:38 a.m. within the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 and the 241 mile marker. York County is about half an hour from Newport Information, Virginia.

Three fatalities have been confirmed by state police. Each drivers and remaining passengers on the bus have been being handled for numerous accidents and have been taken to space hospitals for therapy.

In all, there have been 22 passengers on the bus. None have been carrying seatbelts, state police say.

The Virginia State Police Motor Service Security Group and the Virginia State Police Chesapeake Division Crash Reconstruction Group responded to the scene to help with the investigation, which is ongoing.
