Wild winds send tree crashing into cars at Melbourne train station

A number of automobiles have been crushed by a massive tree that fell at a prepare station in Melbourne's east this afternoon.
Victoria State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers arrived shortly after 3pm to start the clean-up at Higher Ferntree Gully prepare station.
It is understood there have been no accidents within the incident.

Nearly 900 requests for help have been made to the SES throughout the state prior to now 24 hours.
Among the highest wind gusts throughout the nation have been recorded in Victoria, 130km/h was recorded at Wilsons Promontory and 101km/h was recorded at St Kilda Harbour.
Windy situations will proceed for the rest of the day and are anticipated to ease late tonight and into tomorrow morning.
