A police officer has sustained important accidents after he was allegedly stabbed whereas responding to an incident in Victoria.
Police stated the officer was attending an tackle in Torquay, south west of Melbourne, to conduct a welfare verify on a resident about 4.30pm immediately.
The resident allegedly rushed at cops with a knife, stabbing a male officer a number of occasions.
Police used their taser and OC spray and arrested the 49-year-old Torquay man, who's helping police with their enquiries.
The police officer was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.
