4 Philadelphia teens shot in drive-by near high school

4 college students have been injured in an obvious drive-by taking pictures shortly after their Philadelphia highschool let loose early for the day late Wednesday morning, a metropolis faculties spokesperson stated.

Police stated the taking pictures occurred round 11:30 a.m., in line with CBS Philadelphia. A lot of college students have been standing exterior the sweetness salon when an SUV drove up and somebody fired photographs on the college students from Overbrook Excessive.

Metropolis police stated a 15-year-old woman was shot within the shoulder and thigh, a 15-year-old woman was shot within the shoulder, a 16-year-old boy suffered a graze wound to the face and a gunshot wound to the hand, and a 16-year-old boy was shot within the leg. All 4 have been getting hospital remedy and have been in secure situation.

Officer Miguel Torres, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Division, stated victims have been taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Heart and Lankenau Medical Heart.

Police stated no arrest has been made and no weapon was recovered.

"We do not know who was focused, if any of the 4 of them have been focused," stated Monique Braxton, the district's deputy chief of communications. 

Mother and father have been being notified early Wednesday afternoon.

"That is outrageous, that younger individuals can be shot shortly after being dismissed from their highschool," Braxton stated.
