Emergency companies had been known as to Shields Avenue in Sunbury about 12.45am after the 59-year-old man was noticed mendacity on the bottom injured.
The Wyndham Vale man was taken to hospital with what's believed to be a non-life-threatening damage, in line with police.
"The incident seems to be focused and the Wyndham Vale man has not been forthcoming with info to police," police have stated in a press release.
It's unknown whether or not the person was injured on the scene or not.
