Jerry Lee Lewis, "Great Balls of Fire" singer, has died at age 87

Jerry Lee Lewis, the early rock n' roll star who skyrocketed to fame with a string of hits within the Fifties, had died, his publicist confirmed to CBS Information. He was 87.

Nicknamed "The Killer," Lewis was recognized for his energetic stage performances, which included antics equivalent to enjoying the piano together with his ft and lighting the instrument on fireplace.
