Iowa man arrested for threatening Arizona election official: "We're going to hang you"

An Iowa man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to "lynch" and "dangle" a Maricopa County, Arizona, election official almost a 12 months after the 2020 election, the Justice Division introduced

Mark Rissi was arrested Thursday for allegedly leaving voicemails for the unnamed election official, through which Rissi allegedly threatened the official with lynching, hanging, and torches, based on the indictment filed in opposition to him. The arrest comes because the FBI continues to warn about heightened threats to election officers throughout seven states, together with Arizona, the place election deniers proceed to disbelieve that President Biden legitimately gained.
