South Australia's corrections minister has ordered an investigation into the response of Adelaide Remand Centre's personal administration to the alleged bashing of a guard.

"It is argued from day one which privatisation of prisons would not work; that it will result in employees cuts and dangers to the protection of jail officers and inmates," the officers' union mentioned in response to the incident.
The state's Correctional Companies Minister, Joe Szakacs, instructed 9News, "Any state of affairs the place an officer is topic to assault is completely unacceptable".
