Blink-182 Reuniting Classic Lineup With Tom DeLonge for 2023 World Tour, New Single

The brand new single, “EDGING,” is reportedly releasing on Friday, Oct. 14, whereas the tour is slated to kick off on March 11 in Tijuana, Mexico, and finish in Australia and New Zealand in early 2024.

Blink-182 are getting the band again collectively. On Tuesday (Oct. 11) the pop-punk trio introduced a reunion with former singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge for a 2023 world tour and upcoming single. After twice leaving the band — in 2005 after which once more in 2014 — DeLonge is again within the fold alongside singer/bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker for an upcoming Dwell Nation-promoted tour touted as their greatest worldwide trek ever.

The tour is slated to kick off on March 11 in Tijuana, Mexico on the Imperial GNP competition and preserve the band on the street in South America and Mexico by means of April 12 earlier than shifting to North America on Could 4 with a present on the Xcel Vitality Heart in St. Paul, Minnesota; these dates will run by means of a July 16 gig in Nashville on the Bridgestone Area after which transfer on to Europe in September and Australia/New Zealand in early 2024.

Most enjoyable for followers, although, is phrase that a new single, “EDGING,” is approaching Friday (Oct. 14), commemorating the trio’s first time within the studio in 10 years. Consistent with the barely-contained enthusiasm for the get-together, the eternally youthful Take Off Your Pants and Jacket stars launched a promotional video for the tour during which a sequence of followers vow that they might “do something to make them come”… to their hometown, is what they imply. Naturally.

The video includes a preview of the hard-edged, “Edging,” with the lyrics, “I ain’t that cool/ Slightly f—ed within the head/ They’ll be hangin’ me fast once I’m again from the useless/ Get the rope, get the rope, get the rope, get the rope.” Tickets for the tour — which a press launch teased contains performances at 2023 Lollapaloozas in Chile, Argentina and Brasil alongside Billie Eilish, Drake and Lil Nas X and the 2023 version of the We Had been Younger fest in Las Vegas alongside Inexperienced Day and others — are slated to go on sale on Monday (Oct. 17) at 10 a.m. native time right here.

Angels and Airwaves frontman DeLone was changed by Alkaline Trio guitarist/singer Matt Skiba throughout his second hiatus from the band and at press time it was unclear if Skiba could be a part of the upcoming outing. Followers thought one thing was up just lately when Blink wiped their social media accounts and changed them with the black and white emblem from their 2005 best hits album.
