5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes near San Jose, California

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck California's South Bay space late Tuesday morning, based on america Geological Survey.

The quake occurred at 11:42 a.m native time and was centered 9 miles east of Seven Bushes and 12 miles east of San Jose, the USGS stated. It was rapidly adopted by 3.1 magnitude aftershock, USGS stated.

"Further shaking from aftershocks may be anticipated within the area," the California Geological Survey tweeted. "We're persevering with to watch this area."

There have been no preliminary experiences of harm or accidents, CBS Bay Space reported.
