Disney's "The Little Mermaid" is making waves amongst younger Black women on social media after a primary look of Halle Bailey as Ariel was revealed.
Movies circulating on Twitter present quite a few Black women "blind reacting" to the live-action trailer, which features a seconds-long glimpse on the new Ariel swimming beneath the ocean and singing the music "A part of Your World."
"Her pores and skin… it seems to be like mine," one lady mentioned to her mom.
"She's Brown like me," one other lady mentioned in pleasure.
Different women lined their faces with pleasure and jumped round with glee. One Twitter consumer created a whole thread of reactions.
Bailey reacted to the women' reactions.
"Folks have been sending these reactions to me all weekend and I am actually in awe," the 22-year-old actress tweeted. "This implies the world to me."
