Man 'pretending to be rideshare driver' charged over alleged sexual assault

A person who allegedly pretended to be a rideshare driver has been charged over a sexual assault in Perth.
WA Police allege a lady in her 20s was picked up by the 39-year-old man, who she believed was a rideshare driver, round 4.55am on February 12 in Hamilton Hill.
"Will probably be additional alleged that earlier than taking the sufferer to her house handle, the person sexually assaulted her," WA Police mentioned in an announcement.
The 39-year-old has been charged with a number of sexual assault offences.
He'll face Fremantle Magistrates Court docket right now.
Officers are urging anybody who could have been approached by "a person in a crimson Toyota Corolla hatchback within the Northbridge or Perth CBD space" to contact police.
