Five climbers killed, two injured while trying to reach top of Eurasia's tallest active volcano

5 folks climbing Eurasia's tallest lively volcano have died in an accident and rescuers are attempting to extract two different injured climbers, Russian information stories mentioned Saturday.

The climbers have been making an attempt to ascend to the highest of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano, when the accident occurred about 500 meters beneath the 4,750-meter (15,884-foot) summit, the stories cited the prosecutor's workplace of the Kamchatka area as saying.

All of the climbers have been Russian, the stories mentioned. Particulars of the accident weren't instantly identified.

The Kamchatka peninsula in Russia's far northeast is famous for its array of lively and dormant volcanos, scorching springs and considerable wildlife.
