Wild boar numbers soar in Spain forcing authorities to intervene

Wild boars are operating amok in some Spanish cities, attacking residents and forcing authorities to seize them and put them down.
Earlier this month a woman was taken to hospital after being injured by one of many wild animals in Cadaques, north-east of Barcelona.

The boar downside has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic as extra wild animals ventured into city areas amid lockdowns.
Carles Conejero, a veterinary technician accountable for the boar management program, informed Reuters the animals have misplaced their wild instincts.

One native resident informed Reuters the animals are being fed by residents and foraging from bins.
