A person wished by safety officers in Saudi Arabia killed himself with an explosive belt to keep away from arrest, wounding 4 others within the blast, the dominion stated Friday.
The state-run Saudi Press Company, citing the Saudi State Safety Presidency, recognized the useless man as Abdullah bin Zayed al-Shehri.
The report stated as safety forces moved in on him Wednesday within the Saudi metropolis of Jeddah, al-Shehri detonated the bomb belt. The report recognized the wounded as a Pakistani nationwide and three safety officers.
Al-Shehri had been sought by authorities for seven years, Reuters reported, citing state TV. It was not instantly clear on what expenses he was wished.
The Saudi Press Company report provided no particulars on al-Shehri's background, nor if he belonged to any identified extremist group.
The dominion has battled al Qaeda and Islamic State militants.
