A swimming coach sexually assaulted and indecently touched 9 younger women throughout courses in northern Sydney in 2018 and 2019, a jury has heard.
Kyle James Henk Daniels faces 21 fees of inappropriate conduct to feminine college students underneath 10 whereas working as a part-time teacher at a Mosman swim college throughout college.
"The crown case is that the accused has a sexual curiosity in younger women and that he acted on that by touching the vaginas of 9 younger women," prosecutor Tony McCarthy instructed a District Courtroom jury on Monday.
The 23-year previous, who has pleaded not responsible to the fees, is going through a retrial in Sydney's Downing Centre over the alleged offences together with touching women on the skin of their swimming costumes to penetrating their vaginas on 5 separate event along with his fingers.
The alleged offences occurred whereas the ladies have been being instructed in or across the pool, the jury heard.
Two complaints have been made to the swim college, one in July 2018 and the opposite in February 2019. A proper grievance to the Division of Household and Neighborhood Companies was lodged after the second incident and NSW Police have been notified.
Police then descended on Daniels' residence on March 12, 2019 in a extensively publicised arrest.
The next day, the swim college emailed mother and father of its college students notifying them of the arrest and the fees. The e-mail prompted different mother and father to return ahead with complaints about Daniels.
"It felt like a worm was in her personal half. His fingers went inside her personal half. It felt a bit sore when he did it," McCarthy instructed the jury, recounting the proof one woman gave police.
One other woman stated the swim coach had held her in an odd method whereas she was practising freestyle within the pool.
"It felt actually uncomfortable, bizarre and he or she did not prefer it," McCarthy stated.
