'Nothing short of a miracle': Man, 80, found after going missing on own land in remote part of WA

An older man has been discovered dehydrated however alive after being misplaced in near-freezing circumstances in a distant a part of Western Australia in what police have known as "nothing in need of a miracle".
It took a unprecedented effort to rescue the 80-year-old, with police tenting out in harsh terrain and counting on aerial meals drops throughout the two-night mission in Gascoyne within the state's north-west.
He was tracked down by tactical response police after surviving two nights stranded amid in a single day temperatures as little as 3 levels.

The person was airlifted to hospital after being discovered yesterday. (9)

Footage of officers greeting the person has emerged.
"I feel the result is nothing in need of a miracle - with an 80-year-old man who has ventured 14 kilometres into the bushland and we have managed to seek out him alive, that may be a miracle." Superintendent Steve Submit stated.

The alarm was raised at 11pm on Friday after the person did not return from a drive round his acreage, 160 kilometres south-west of Sandstone.
His assistant went to search for him however discovered solely his deserted ute.
Police launched a large-scale search with specialist monitoring officers known as in to sort out the robust terrain.

"They tracked the 80-year-old by way of the bush, they stopped monitoring at eleven thirty at evening, they knew that they had his path," Submit stated.
The person is in a secure situation after being airlifted to hospital after when discovered yesterday.
Authorities stated any longer and the lacking man might not have survived.
They warned anybody who went lacking to stick with their car.
