A bunch of youngsters found the 44-year-old's physique close to Jaloonda Highway in Bluewater, about 27 kilometres from Townsville on Saturday afternoon.
Detectives are treating her loss of life as suspicious and stated her attacker has not been discovered.
Police haven't stated how she died, however stated a weapon was used the alleged assault.
Queensland Police Detective Appearing Inspector Jason Shepherd stated the lady died at that location, and stated she could have gone there along with her attacker.
"It does seem that she would have identified who her attacker was, they most likely went to that location collectively," he stated.
The girl has 4 youngsters, aged between 14 and 24, who do not stay within the space.
"We do not imagine that it's straight associated to home and household violence on this event," Shepherd stated.
Police stated they are going to know extra after an post-mortem this week.
