A person allegedly armed with a knife has been shot by police on Queensland's Gold Coast.
Officers allege the 29-year-old was threatening them earlier than they had been compelled to defend themselves at a house on Bellagio Crescent at Coomera at 3.20pm.
It is understood police had been on the road to finish a welfare examine.
Police mentioned negotiators had been known as to the road to talk to the person, earlier than he allegedly "superior" at officers.
The person was handled by paramedics earlier than being taken to Gold Coast College Hospital in a critical situation.
