Two individuals have been killed and one other was wounded in two shootings within the Midtown space of Atlanta on Monday, the town's police division mentioned. A suspect was taken into custody hours later at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Worldwide Airport after police obtained data she had transported herself there, Atlanta's interim Police Chief Darin Schierbaum instructed reporters.
A police spokesman mentioned the airport's safety was "by no means compromised." Police recovered the handgun believed to have been used within the shootings on the airport, Schierbaum mentioned.
Investigators consider the victims have been probably focused, the chief mentioned. He did not present particulars a few doable motive.
"We don't consider these have been random acts of violence," the chief mentioned.
