CCTV captured the second the would-be thief entered the Franklin Road retailer in Adelaide's CBD whereas two others saved a lookout.
The employee chased them after they allegedly stole a bottle of coke and tried to go away.
Video seems to indicate the employee, who needs his identification hid, being chased again inside.
The intruders seem to attempt to intimidate the sufferer, grabbing cans of soppy drink and hurling them at him.
The employee instructed 9News the incident adopted months of repeated thefts and police weren't doing sufficient.
