Former Olympic volleyball participant Kim Glass stated she suffered a number of face fractures and her eye was swollen shut after she was attacked in downtown Los Angeles. Glass stated she was injured when a homeless man, who has since been apprehended, threw a steel object at her face.
Glass, a silver medalist on the 2008 Beijing Olympics, stated she was leaving lunch with a buddy when she observed a person on the alternative facet of the road that had an object in his hand. The incident occurred on Friday, in line with The Related Press.
"He similar to checked out me with some fairly hateful eyes," Glass stated. "It occurred so quick, he actually flung it from the road, he was not even near me in any respect."
After the person threw the thing at her, bystanders held him down till police arrived, she stated.
The incident left Glass with a number of fractures in her face, she stated, including that one in all her eyes was swollen shut and she or he needed to get stitches. Glass stated the thing seemed to be a "pipe."
Regardless of the severity of the assault, she reassured her followers that she is going to heal from her accidents.

A spokesperson for Los Angeles police recognized the person as 51-year-old Semeon Tesfamariam and stated that he was booked on suspicion of felony assault with a lethal weapon, in line with the Related Press.
USA Volleyball President and CEO Jamie Davis stated Monday that the group was "appalled" by the assault, in line with The Related Press.
"Our ideas are together with her and we want her a speedy restoration," Davis stated.
