A vivid orange lobster has been rescued from its destiny as a meal at Purple Lobster after workers members recognised the crustacean's uncommon colouring.
The lobster was named "Cheddar" in an ode to the restaurant's well-known Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
Cheddar arrived in a cargo at a Purple Lobster restaurant in Hollywood, Florida, in keeping with a July 12 information launch from the restaurant.
