Police have dropped felony fees towards a grocery store employee former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani accused of assault, after CCTV revealed the person patted him on the again.

Giuliani, who served as Donald Trump's lawyer throughout his administration, was campaigning for his son's gubernatorial marketing campaign within the New York borough of Staten Island.

CCTV confirmed grocery store employee Daniel Gill strolling up behind Giuliani and patting him on the again.

"What's up, scumbag," Gill is presupposed to have mentioned.

Giuliani, himself a former prosecutor, had Gill arrested.

"I obtained hit as if a boulder hit me," Giuliani mentioned.

"It did not knock me down, however it harm tremendously."

Gill was charged with second diploma assault and has been suspended from his job "pending termination".

"He nearly knocked me down. Thank God for a 78-year-old, I'm in fairly fine condition," Giuliani mentioned.

"If I wasn't, I'd have hit the bottom and possibly cracked my cranium."

Gill was held by the New York Police Division for twenty-four hours earlier than the felony fees have been dropped.

He has since been charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanour, third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.

The Authorized Help Society, which is representing Gill, mentioned the fees have been inconsistent with present legislation.

Giuliani's son Andrew is operating as a Republican within the New York major for governor.

"The assault on my father, America's Mayor, was over politics," the youthful Giuliani mentioned in a press release.
