WWII medals found hidden in garage sale furniture

Conflict medals from World Conflict II have been discovered by a former police officer hidden in an outdated piece of picket furnishings.
A retired murder detective discovered the medals within the furnishings, which was purchased from a storage sale greater than a decade in the past within the Doncaster space, in Melbourne's east.
The set was handed into Warrandyte Police Station on Might 3.

Police consider the medals belong to David Bruce Welsford, who was born in August 1924.
The set features a 1939-45 Star, a Pacific Star, a Conflict Medal and an Australian Service Medal 1939-1945.
It's understood Welsford lived all of his life within the japanese and north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, along with his final recognized deal with being in Doncaster.
He died in 2001 and his spouse, Lorrie Welsford, handed away in 1999.
Police consider they didn't have kids however stated Ms Welsford could have had kids from a earlier marriage.

Police proceed will proceed to trace down any of Welsford's household so the medals will be handed onto his family members.
Police have issued pictures of the medals and urge anybody who knew Welsford or has extra data to contact Warrandyte Police Station on (03) 9844 3231.
