Man charged after assaulting Coles worker with shopping basket

NSW Police have charged a 36-year-old man after he allegedly struck a Coles worker with a procuring basket at Wallsend Coles in Newcastle yesterday.
Emergency companies have been referred to as to the grocery store on Kokera Road at about 2.30pm after a 52-year-old employee was assaulted, inflicting a severe medical episode.
