Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has filmed an "ugly" confrontation at a pre-polling sales space in his marginal Melbourne seat of Kooyong involving the businessman behind the Local weather 200 unbiased push.
The under-pressure Liberal MP watched on as millionaire investor and founding father of Local weather 200, Simon Holmes a Courtroom, approached Liberal Victorian Senator Jane Hume - who the businessman is suing for defamation.
Within the video, which was posted on social media by the Liberal Get together, Hume can repeatedly be heard telling Holmes a Courtroom to go away her alone, which he ignored.
"Simply depart me alone, Simon, please depart me alone," Hume will be heard saying.
"You're suing me for defamation Simon, I do not wish to speak to you."
Representatives for unbiased candidate Monique Ryan, whom polls present has an actual probability of ousting Frydenberg in Kooyong on Saturday, declined to touch upon the alternate.
"We now have no remark to make," a Ryan marketing campaign member advised 9News immediately.
"You are harassing us, annoying us. Please cease doing it."
Frydenberg, in the meantime, this morning slammed the incident as "ugly".
"It was a despicable behaviour from somebody who ought to know higher," he mentioned.
"Is that this actually what integrity appears to be like like by the teals?"
9News has been unable to succeed in Holmes a Courtroom for remark.
