A Queensland tradie has been injured after the 50 tonne piling rig he was working crashed to the bottom.
The equipment collapsed on a Gold Coast development website round 8am this morning, forcing the 67-year-old to leap from his working seat to keep away from being crushed.
It is believed the equipment could have hit a sinkhole.
The person broke his decrease leg in the course of the accident and has been transferred the Gold Coast College Hospital.
Paramedic Joel McEwan stated the excessive acuity response unit and demanding care workforce rushed to the person's assist, including it was fortunate nobody else was injured.
"After we arrived we discovered the gentleman had jumped away from the rig because it fell onto the development website," he stated.
"He is in good spirits, he is aware and alert and in a position to talk with us successfully.

A witness stated the person was "an absolute hero," with a number of others commending his bravery.
The 50 tonne rig narrowly averted a close-by constructing because it crashed to the bottom.
Surrounding residents stated they felt the affect from their condominium block and the drive appeared to maneuver their furnishings.
They added they heard the sounds of a person, believed to be the operator screaming in ache.
The incident is the second main accident on the development website in slightly below a month.
A number of weeks in the past, a crane unloading constructing supplies collapsed onto the road.
Close by resident Doug Burgess stated the positioning was "an accident ready to occur," and a security hazard to staff and residents.
"It is simply ridiculous," he stated.
"That crane went over onto the street, luckily nobody was in the way in which but when anybody had been there they'd have been crushed.
"One thing must be executed...can we wait for somebody to get killed?"
Office investigators on the scene to find out the reason for the accident this morning.
The constructing firm, Ezra Constructions has declined to remark.
