A South Australian fugitive needed for tried homicide has been arrested this morning at a property in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
Gang Crime Squad detectives, with the help of the canine squad, executed a search warrant at a Peppercorn Parade handle in Epping, arresting a 23-year-old South Australian man this morning.
His arrest follows a brawl at a licensed premises on Grenfell Road in Adelaide on Sunday, March 13 the place a number of victims had been stabbed or assaulted with weapons.
Knives and a machete had been used and 6 had been taken to hospital because of the brawl.
After the incident occurred in March, South Australia Police Chief Inspector Matt Nairn mentioned the scenario was "very regarding".
Detectives from South Australia Police's Operation MELD Taskforce will arrive in Melbourne tomorrow to use for his extradition.
