Premier Daniel Andrews has revealed he doesn't intend to increase Victoria's pandemic declaration previous July.
Chatting with media on Thursday, Mr Andrews mentioned he "definitely hoped" to permit the declaration to run out when present powers finish on July 12.
"I do not know what professional recommendation I'll get within the days main as much as the twelfth of July," he mentioned.
"It is my hope that we do not want that, or we see one thing lower than that, or we want another association.
"That'd be terrific."
Pandemic declaration powers had been additional prolonged for 3 months earlier this month.
It comes as Victoria's COVID-19 Response Commander Jeroen Weimar introduced he would stand down from his position on the finish of this month.
The Division of Well being confirmed his departure immediately, thanking Mr Weimar for his contribution to the pandemic response.
