A NSW bus driver has been charged after allegedly letting a 16-year-old member of the general public drive his bus.
Cops from Campsie, in Sydney's south-west, launched an investigation after receiving reviews a bus driver was letting the teenager function his car whereas there have been passengers on board.
The bus driver, 25-year-old Adam Stevens, allegedly let the teenager function the bus quite a few occasions between March 10 and March 27, based on police.
Officers visited a house in Menai, in southern Sydney, about 2pm on Wednesday the place they arrested Mr Stevens.
He was taken to Sutherland Police Station and charged with negligently shifting or driving a car and subjecting individuals to danger.
He has been given conditional bail and is ready to seem at Sutherland Native Courtroom on April 28.
Transit Techniques, the corporate Mr Stevens works for in Sydney's Internal West, issued a press release on the incident.
"The driving force has been stood down whereas NSW Police full their investigation," the assertion mentioned.
"We're unable to offer any additional updates on the matter given it's police investigation.
"We are going to proceed to cooperate with the related authorities."
